Mia Pauldo out on SEC injury report for Lady Vols vs Ole Miss, will miss third game

Lady Vols basketball point guard Mia Pauldo will miss a third straight game due to an injury.

The freshman was listed as out on the initial SEC injury report Feb. 16 ahead of the road matchup between No. 22 Tennessee (16-7, 8-3 SEC) and No. 16 Ole Miss (20-6, 7-4) at SJB Pavilion on Feb. 17 (7 p.m. ET, ESPNU).
Nya Robertson, who had 11 points on 4-for-6 shooting against Texas, was also on the report as questionable.
Lady Vols coach Kim Caldwell did not provide any update on Pauldo's status after Tennessee's 65-63 loss to No. 4 Texas on Feb. 15.
Caldwell said that the injury happened during the South Carolina loss on Feb. 8. Pauldo was Tennessee's leading scorer in conference play before going scoreless at South Carolina on Feb. 8. She took a big hit early in the game and had to be subbed out before returning to the game. She shot 0-for-10 and didn't score for the first time this season.
In the game before that at Georgia, Pauldo also took some hits and hard falls, at one point hitting her head on the ground.
Pauldo has been crucial to the Lady Vols' success, averaging 11.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals. She is shooting 37.5% from the field and 30.1% on 6.3 attempts from 3-point range.
Pauldo's scoring went up in SEC play to 14.4 points per game, and she became one of Tennessee's most reliable scorers. She is the Lady Vols' best ball handler and one of their lowest-turnover impact players.
Robertson went through a slump in Tennessee's first nine SEC games, but she stepped up the last two games without Pauldo. The senior guard has been efficient as a scorer with 14 points against Missouri on 5-for-9 shooting and 11 points on 4-for-6 shooting against Texas.
Robertson is averaging eight points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 21.5 minutes this season. She shoots 35.3% from the field and 33.3% from 3-point range.
