Former Falcons WR Rondale Moore passes away at age 25

Former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Rondale Moore passed away on Saturday in New Albany, Indiana. According to New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey, Moore was found dead in a garage in New Albany.
The investigation is still ongoing, but police stated they believe the cause of death to be suicide. Moore, a New Albany native, was just 25 years old.

"Rest in peace, Rondale Moore," the Falcons wrote in a statement on social media. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Rondale’s family and friends."
In 2024, the Falcons acquired Moore from the Cardinals in a trade that sent quarterback Desmond Ridder to Arizona. Moore suffered a knee injury during training camp and was placed on the injured reserve list for the entire 2024 season.
Moore signed with the Vikings in 2025 but suffered another serious knee injury in the preseason and had to sit out another full season. The NFLPA released a statement on Moore's passing.

Moore's college coach, Jeff Brohm, also released a statement on Saturday evening.
"Rondale Moore was a complete joy to coach," wrote Brohm. "The ultimate competitor that wouldn't back down from any challenge. Rondale had a work ethic unmatched by anyone. A great teammate that would come through in any situation. We all loved Rondale, we loved his smile and competitive edge that always wanted to please everyone he came in contact with. We offer all of our thoughts and prayers to Rondale and his family, we love him very much."
