Serge Daura lifted the 2025 Ballon d'Or trophy this Friday, February 27, at a ceremony organized by the Cameroonian Football Federation, presided over by Samuel Eto'o. This triumph crowns a year of remarkable ascent for the young striker.
A benchmark season in Elite One
A key architect of Gazelle FA’s brilliant campaign, Daura led his team to a third-place finish in the Elite One championship. This podium finish was hard-earned after a commanding season, with the young sensation establishing himself as the undisputed attacking leader of his squad.
The league’s top scorer with 15 goals, he also stood out for his selfless play, racking up 11 assists. This all-around performance played a decisive role when the votes were cast.
Triumph in fierce competition
To clinch the trophy, Daura edged out Boris Mfoumou of AS Fortuna and Nsanfeu Konrad of Panthère Sportive. The winner also walked away with the titles of top scorer and Cameroonian revelation of 2025.
