After Friday’s practice, Clemson’s new offensive coordinator made it clear he’s encouraged by what he’s seen from early enrollees Tait Reynolds and Brock Bradley. The pair arrived in January as part of the 2026 class, and Morris said they haven’t looked overwhelmed.
“We brought two freshmen in, [Reynolds] and Brock, and both of them have been very impressive in the meetings and impressive out on the field,” Morris said.
Reynolds brings a college-ready frame and noticeable arm strength, traits that are hard to miss when he steps on the field. Morris pointed to the physical tools right away, while also acknowledging the natural adjustment period that comes with learning a new offense at this level.
“Obviously Tait, he does have a live arm,” Morris said. “Thick. He’s a big guy. But again, he’s processing the whole thing as well. But there’s been some really good things that they’ve all done.”
Long before he arrived on campus, Reynolds built his reputation as a playmaker who could hurt defenses in multiple ways. Even though a hamstring injury sidelined him for most of his senior season in Arizona, his body of work before that showed a quarterback comfortable pushing the ball downfield and taking off when lanes opened. Recruiting services took notice, slotting him among the top prospects in his state and one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in the 2026 cycle.
Bradley’s path to Clemson looks different but just as steady. At Spain Park High School in Alabama, he became known for consistency and winning. Over three seasons as the starter, he helped turn the program into a regular contender, stacking victories and rewriting sections of the school record book along the way. His senior year was another productive one, guiding his team back to the playoffs and capping off a career filled with touchdowns and big moments.

Neither freshman is being asked to carry the offense right now, but both are gaining valuable reps during the spring. For Morris, the early signs are encouraging, and the foundation is already being laid for Clemson’s future at the position.
