The 41-year-old replaced Enzo Maresca at the start of January, and has made a good start to life at Stamford Bridge.

Rosenior’s only defeats have come in the Carabao Cup semi final against Arsenal, and he remains unbeaten in the league with four wins and two draws.

Not a lot has changed from a tactical perspective between Rosenior and Enzo Maresca, although there are some differences.

Chelsea appear to be playing with a lot more freedom in attack, and largely haven’t struggled to score goals, whilst Rosenior has gone with a midfield pivot of Andrey Santos and Moises Caicedo.

Joining mid-season it’s always difficult to implement your tactics, and Rosenior has revealed he’s tailored his tactics because of a fear of fatigue and injury.

“It’s ok in your mind to say, “I want to play this way”. But you have to tailor that to the players, and their experiences, and where they are at this stage of the season,” he told Mail Sport.

“You can’t come in and completely change their training schedule and what they are used to, because they will get injured. This is a longer term thing for me to address.

“At the moment, my focus, and the way we work, is game by game, what’s best for these players to win. That’s how it’s going to be for the rest of the season.”

Reece James fit for Arsenal game

Chelsea are set to play their 107th game on Sunday since the start of last season, so keeping players fresh and having as many available as possible is vital.

Rosenior has confirmed both Marc Cucurella and Estevao will miss the Arsenal game through injury, whilst Wesley Fofana is suspended.

However, in a boost Reece James is fit and available to play, and the Blues will need their captain to be at his best if they are to have any chance of getting a result.
