'Unserious' price for Eagles WR A.J. Brown revealed in latest report

Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan and Doug Kyed reported from the NFL combine last week that the Philadelphia Eagles' asking price to trade star wide receiver A.J. Brown is "unserious," according to one source.

That left NFL fans wondering what the Eagles could be asking for in exchange for the 28-year-old wide receiver. The New England Patriots are believed to be one of several teams vying to trade for the former three-time All-Pro this offseason.

But so far, none of the offers have reached a point for Eagles general manager Howie Roseman to make a move.

"My understanding is teams are making offers to the Eagles for a trade, and to this point, they have not gotten to the point at which the Eagles would make the move. In their mind, it's a Quinnen Williams-type deal," NFL Network's Mike Garafolo said on Good Morning Football. "We're talking a potential first-round pick with a second-round sweetener on it. That's kind of where it is for the Eagles to start to consider moving A.J. Brown."

Brown looked unhappy at times with the Eagles last season, but he hasn't publicly stated his desire to leave Philadelphia. One has to wonder if that could change if he stays and the same issues persist in 2026 as well.

With that said, Brown is still a high-level talent coming off a season where he hauled in 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. It was his fourth-straight 1,000-yard receiving season.

The Eagles fired Kevin Patullo as their offensive coordinator, but like Patullo, the new hire, Sean Mannion, will be a first-time offensive play-caller in the NFL. There are no guarantees that change will be any less disastrous than the one a year ago.
