Corinthians announce signing of free agent Jesse Lingard

Free agent Jesse Lingard has officially signed for Brazilian side Corinthians, the club has confirmed.

The former Manchester United player has been working at the Joaquim Grava Training Centre for a few days and is not yet cleared to play, as he still needs to sort out bureaucratic details. The attacking midfielder has signed a contract until the end of the season, with the possibility of automatic renewal until the end of 2027 if certain targets are met.
Lingard will wear the number 77 shirt and will be the second English-born athlete to play for the club, following Colin Kâzim-Richards.
Jesse Lingard is mostly known for his time at Manchester United, where he came through the academy before leaving for Nottingham Forest in 2023.
The 33-year-old has spent the last two seasons plying his trade in Korea for K-League side FC Seoul where he scored 13 goals and make seven assists in 41 games last season.
