Late last week, the Dolphins released kicker Jason Sanders after eight years with the team to get younger and save $3.92 million in cap space.

After the news of the transaction broke, Sanders took to social media to share a final message with the team, his teammates and the fans that supported him.

"To the Miami Dolphins organization, coaches, staff, and teams, after eight amazing years in Miami, it is hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me. I have loved every single moment of being a Dolphin, and I am grateful to have called Hard Rock Stadium my home for the past 8 years," Sanders wrote.

"To the fans, thank you for your support over the years and all of the memories that I'll never forget. While this chapter in South Florida is coming to a close, I look forward to what's next. Fins Up!"

Sanders made 84.6% of field goals (187-for-221) and 96.6% of his extra points (259-for-268). He was also named an All-Pro in 2020. His 187 field goals made were the second-most in franchise history, only behind Olindo Mare, who made 245 on an 80.9% field goal percentage.
