The Atlanta Falcons are adding Troy Kruchten to their staff as a defensive quality control coach, the team announced on Sunday evening. Krutchen served as the outside linebackers coach at Georgia State in 2025, and was recently promoted to special teams/nickels assistant before taking the job with the Falcons.

In Kruchten, Atlanta is getting a young coach who isn't far removed from his playing days as a linebacker at Louisiana. After his college career ended in 2021, Kruchten moved onto Florida to serve as a graduate assistant and assistant to the defensive coordinator.

A linebacker in college at both Southeastern Louisiana and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Kruchten has spent his coaching career working on the defensive side of the ball. He was a graduate assistant at the University of Florida and worked with the team's linebackers before joining Georgia State University in 2025 as outside linebackers coach. -- AtlantaFalcons.com
