ETSU Baseball Sweeps Bradley with 15-2 Run-Rule Win

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The ETSU Buccaneers baseball team capped off a dominant weekend at Thomas Stadium with a 15-2 run-rule victory over Bradley Braves baseball on Sunday, completing a four-game sweep.

The win improved the Bucs to 15-4 overall and 13-1 at home. Every Buccaneer starter reached base at least once. Jamie Palmese led the charge with four hits and two RBIs, while Tristan Curless drove in four runs to extend his team-leading RBI total. Nate Conner, Tyler Fetterman and Gabe Juarez also recorded two-hit performances, with Juarez adding a solo home run in the fifth inning for his first of the season. ETSU’s pitching staff held Bradley to three runs or fewer in all four games of the series as the Bucs continued a strong stretch on the mound.
The Buccaneers will now hit the road for a four-game swing in North Carolina, beginning Tuesday against UNC Asheville Bulldogs baseball with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m. in Asheville.
