The San Antonio Spurs continue to be one of the best teams in the league. On Monday, they had a tough matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Spurs won the game 119-115 on the back of a well-rounded performance from San Antonio.

Victor Wembanyama had another good performance on both ends of the floor, but the rest of the team stepped up with Devin Vassell and Stephon Castle scoring 20+ points apiece.

Wembanyama enjoys the Spurs continuing to peak

In the 2025-26 season, the Spurs have been a surprise package. Most people saw them outside the postseason spots in the previous campaign, but they have elevated their game to the highest level this season.

They are the only team that could keep up with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference. That is a huge achievement already, but the Spurs want to catch up and beat their newfound rivals.

Wembanyama and the Spurs had a tough game against the Clippers on Monday. However, they still got the win, which means they have won 16 of their last 18 games.

They are only three games behind the Thunder with 14 games left in the schedule. It might be tough to catch up, but the Spurs have proven that they belong in the same conversation.

"We feel pretty good about it, we are having fun. All of us are reaching new heights individually and collectively. Of course (we are chasing the number one seed)," Wembanyama said to the NBC Sports broadcast after the game.

As the Spurs continue to progress, they continue to be a scary team to go against. They are most likely the second seed in the postseason, which will give them one of the teams from the Play-In Tournament.

It will be a nightmare matchup for any team, especially with Wembanyama, Castle, and Fox playing so wel as of late.
