Grand Forks Fast Break Club announces all-city basketball teams

Mar. 27—GRAND FORKS — The Grand Forks Fast Break Club has honored 12 local players with the honor of being named to the group's all-city basketball team.

Six boys and six girls received the honor, which goes to players from Grand Forks Red River, Grand Forks Central, East Grand Forks Senior High and East Grand Forks Sacred Heart.

The boys team includes Sacred Heart's Caleb Ihry, Central's Brayden Delorme, Red River's James Schindler, Red River's Matt Dosch, Senior High's Carson McDonald and Senior High's Chase Lindgren.

Ihry, a 6-foot-1 junior guard, averaged 14 points and 5 rebounds per game in his first varsity season as the Eagles finished 17-10.

Delorme, a 5-11 senior guard, was an all-EDC selection, averaging 17.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists. He made 87 3-pointers.

Schindler, a 5-10 junior guard, averaged 21 points per game, along with 2.7 steals. He was an all-EDC choice and a Division AA all-state pick.

Dosch, a 6-3 senior forward, averaged 16.3 points and 10.7 rebounds. He finished his Red River career with 644 points and 526 rebounds.

McDonald, a 6-0 senior guard, led the Green Wave to a 22-6 record, scoring 555 points for a career total 1,682. He was named conference MVP.

Lindgren, a 6-1 senior guard, scored 365 points, despite missing time with an injury. Lindgren scored 1,421 career points.

The girls team includes Sacred Heart's Lexi Lawrence, Sacred Heart's Finley Horken, Central's Jacie Reardon, Senior High's Tatem Votava, Red River's Reese Remz and Red River's Taylor Hodny.

Lawrence, a 6-0 junior forward, averaged 18.7 points and 9.7 rebounds, while Horken, a 5-5 junior guard, averaged 13.7 points, 4.3 assists and 2.9 steals.

Reardon, a 5-11 senior forward, averaged 13.4 points and 13.0 rebounds (No. 1 in the EDC). She broke the school's single-game rebounding record with 35 in a game.

Votava, a 5-11 senior forward, passed 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds, becoming the Green Wave's all-time scoring leader at 2,102. She averaged 19.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 3.0 steals per game.

Remz, a 5-7 senior guard, averaged 16.4 points per game, 5.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 4.8 steals per game.

Hodny, a 5-8 sophomore guard, averaged 11.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game.
