Suspects sought after alleged hotel-room shenanigans; cops probe indecent acts

· Toronto Sun

Police are on the hunt for three female robbery suspects and have released photos of one of them after a victim was allegedly given an “unknown substance” in a downtown hotel room before being ushered into an SUV and bilked for cash.

Toronto Police said they received a robbery call Sunday at about 6 p.m. in the Yonge St.-Gerrard St. W. area after the victim had contacted one of the suspects through an online classified ad earlier that morning.

Police said they met at a hotel in the area and went to the victim’s room, where it is believed that the suspect mixed an “unknown substance” into the victim’s drink and the victim became unwell.

They said the suspect took the victim to a black Dodge Durango occupied by two other females before they commandeered the victim’s phone, made “multiple” e-transfers to themselves and took the victim to an ATM to withdraw cash when the e-transfer limit was reached.

Police said the suspects fled after the victim was taken to a hotel in the University Ave.-Adelaide St. W. area.

They did not release descriptions of the suspects, but the photos they released of the hotel room suspect show a blond female dressed in a puffy black jacket and tight black pants.

They believe there could be more victims and have asked anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-5200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477 or 222tips.com .
