Crooks should be the most sought-after talent in the women's basketball transfer portal this spring after yet another strong year on the court with the Cyclones.
The junior averaged 25.8 points and 7.7 rebounds a game this past season that saw Iowa State eliminated in the first round of the 2026 women's NCAA tournament. She will now spend her last year of eligibility elsewhere.
Where could Crooks land? We've identified a few schools that make sense.
TCU
TCU has been aggressive in adding star players in the last like Olivia Miles and Hailey Van Lith. It wouldn't shock us to see the school make a run at Crooks after making the Elite Eight round.
Oklahoma
With center Raegan Beers about to graduate, perhaps Crooks could take her place in the Oklahoma starting lineup?
Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt is building a powerhouse in Nashville with Mikayla Blakes and Aubrey Galvan. The team could use an elite post presence like Crooks to raise the bar on its 2026-27 potential as a title contender. The team leader in rebounds, Sacha Washington, is graduating, making this an added need for Vandy.
LSU
If the Tigers want to make a statement to the rest of the SEC, bringing in Crooks would do the trick. The team will lose star Flau'jae Johnson and top rebounder Amiya Joyner to graduation. Crooks would be a home run add.
South Carolina
While fellow center Madina Okot may stay at South Carolina for another season, the team having Crooks as a possible replacement (and arguably an upgrade) would be a huge boost for its future prospects. The rich always get richer.
