The Brazilian centre-back has now been medically cleared to play, and all indications suggest he will be included in the squad for the upcoming La Liga clash against Mallorca.

After suffering a torn left hamstring on December 7 against Celta Vigo, Militao has endured a lengthy recovery process.

Now, nearly four months later, he is ready to step back onto the pitch, which is a major boost for Real Madrid at a crucial stage of the season.

Speaking in a recent appearance on Real Talks (h/t Mundo Deportivo), Militao made his eagerness clear as he prepares for his comeback.

“Whenever I’m on the field, I give it my all. I’m really looking forward to playing again.”

A long-awaited return

His return comes at a time when squad depth and defensive stability are vital, especially with important fixtures piling up.

The Brazilian has consistently been one of Madrid’s most reliable defenders, and his presence could significantly strengthen the backline.

Militao also reflected on the responsibility that comes with representing the club, explaining the standards expected at Real Madrid.

“We know the weight of the Real Madrid jersey and we know it’s an honour to play here,” he said.

“If things don’t go 100%, I work to make sure I don’t make the same mistake in the next game.”

That mindset has been evident throughout his recovery, with the defender focused on improving every aspect of his game during his time away from action.

He emphasised the importance of maintaining peak condition even when sidelined.

“You have to take care of yourself off the field; you have to always be at your best, even if you’re not playing or coming off an injury.

“I always try to improve—in one-on-one situations, recovery, set pieces, and both defensively and offensively.”

Looking ahead to the weekend, Real Madrid face a tricky test against a Mallorca side fighting to avoid relegation. Despite their position, Militao is not underestimating the challenge.

“They press hard, they always play until the very end—we have to stay alert at all times,” he concluded.
