FSU (24-8, 9-3 ACC) never led in the game as Florida (25-9, 7-5 SEC) took an early 1-0 lead with a solo home run in the third inning before the Seminoles tied it in the bottom of the inning. The Gators retook the lead in the fifth with another solo home run, before making it a 4-1 game with a pair of two-out walks and singles.

Starting pitcher Cooper Whited was solid on the mound for FSU, allowing two runs in 4 1/2 innings on four hits, two of which were homers. Gabe Nard gave up the final two runs, managing just two outs.

FSU's offense outhit Florida 9-7, but they struckout 11 times to just two walks. They hit .235 with runners on and stranded nine runners. Hunter Carns' two-run homer in the eighth was FSU's only extra-base hit.

It was another disappointing outcome for the Seminoles, who have lost five of their last six games against Florida. Here is a look at how social media reacted to the loss.
