Nebraska basketball star Dalano Banton signs with Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics agreed to a deal with former Nebraska basketball forward Dalano Banton over the weekend. The news deal is two years in length.

Banton has had a successful NBA career. He has averaged 6.7 points and 14.3 minutes per game over the course of five seasons. He has played for the Toronto Raptors, Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Clippers, and the Celtics.
He enjoyed a successful career with Nebraska basketball as well. Banton played for the Huskers from 2020 to 2021. He averaged 9.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 27.2 minutes per game.
Banton could fit well with the Celtics due to his strong defense and ability to score inside. The Celtics have a very deep roster, and Benton is undoubtedly a strong depth piece moving forward. Hopefully, he will be able to make an impact on a team that is in a strong position to be a contender for years to come.
