Entering the 2026 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns own the No. 6 and 24 picks in the first round. With those selections, it would hardly be a surprise if the Browns made a trade.

But a trade down in the draft would be a bit more interesting than a move up with their abundant ammo. Especially with their big needs at wide receiver and offensive tackle.

In a recent mock draft from NFL.com's Gennaro Filice, he has the Browns doing just that. Except, he has Cleveland moving down to No. 9 overall with the Kansas City Chiefs, while still pulling off a "dream" scenario in the first round.

Browns mock draft lands 'dream' scenario

"Moving down three spots, picking up a fifth top-75 selection and still getting their pick of the WR litter? What a dream scenario for the Browns," Filice writes.

In this mock draft from Filice, the Browns trade the No. 6 pick to the Chiefs for No. 9 and No. 74 overall. Then, with the ninth pick, the Browns have all the wide receivers available, and Filice gives them Carnell Tate out of Ohio State.

If Cleveland lands Tate in the first round with the No. 6 pick, it wouldn't be too strange, though it would be seen as a little bit of a reach. But, at No. 9, it would be a very good value.

The Browns might take Tate with the sixth pick anyway. If they could land the 74th selection, while still getting Tate, it would be an incredible draft result.

Then, to make things even better, Filice has the Browns land Monroe Freeling, the Georgia offensive tackle, with the No. 24 pick.

This mock draft for the Browns would be a "dream" scenario, according to Filice, and based on the overall haul from the first round: Carnell Tate, Monroe Freeling, and the 74th pick, it's hard to argue that this wouldn't be a dream scenario.
