Meadows, who suffered a concussion, laceration in the mouth and the broken radius in an outfield collision with Riley Greene in Minneapolis last Thursday, had the surgery in Atlanta.
He was placed on the 60-day injured list on Monday.
Hinch also reported that lefty reliever Bailey Horn, who is coming back from elbow surgery, had his throwing program paused. He was still feeling discomfort in the area.
