Between an offensive line led by Lane Johnson, Saquon Barkley toting the rock, and Jalen Hurts using his legs to move the ball, Philly's identity is clearly rooted in the ground game.
As the draft approaches, another weapon could be added to that running attack.
A 1,000 yard running back from Penn State has just been cleared from injury and looks to be a prime target for the Eagles.
Penn State RB Nick Singleton cleared ahead of NFL Draft is good news for Philadelphia Eagles
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Thursday that Nick Singleton, four-year running back at Penn State, has been medically cleared. He broke the 5th metatarsal in his right foot at the Senior Bowl.
Singleton rushed for over 1,000 yards in his junior and freshman seasons as a Nittany Lion. He also racked up 45 touchdowns in four years at Penn State.

-this play sort of encapsulates his career, imo
-he has a good cut, burst and shiftiness when there’s a lot of open grass
-if lanes and holes are tight, he doesn’t perform the same pic.twitter.com/Nk2OJZ6Ysc
Ryan Shea of Sports Illustrated recently wrote a piece on why Singleton is a perfect fit with the Eagles.
"Behind one of the league’s premier offensive lines and within a run-heavy, RPO-based system, Singleton’s downhill burst and ability to thrive in zone concepts would be maximized," Shea wrote.
He would work well with an option QB like Jalen Hurts and could learn under the tutelage of Saquon Barkley.
Singleton is projected to be a day two or three pick, so Philadelphia could look to steal him in the later rounds.
Whether it's the Eagles or another team, Singleton's injury news is great for franchises in need of a developing prospect in their backfield.
