By taking Avieon Terrell in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons didn't just add to their cornerback room — they sparked a family reunion.
With the No. 48 selection in Friday's second round, the Falcons added Clemson's former star cornerback, who is the brother of current Atlanta All-Pro corner A.J. Terrell. It led to an all-time draft moment, with the brothers seen embracing as they became NFL teammates.
In 2026 and beyond, the Falcons will now have a chance to roll out brothers as their starting cornerback duo, and the connections between the Terrells and Atlanta don't end there.
Here's a look at how Avieon joined A.J. Terrell with the Falcons in the 2026 NFL Draft.

NFL brothers on same team
The Terrell brothers could be fairly unique as brothers on the same team that play the same position. However, their situation isn't completely unprecedented.
Here are some recent examples of brothers being on the same team:
- Shaquill (CB) and Shaquem Griffin (LB), Seahawks, 2018
- Jason (CB) and Devin McCourty (S), Patriots, 2018
- Derek (FB) and T.J. (LB) Watt, Steelers, 2020
