Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard, the 2025 Sixth Man of the Year, wasted no time in putting Tuesday's Game 5 loss at home to the Philadelphia 76ers behind him. After leading for most of the game, the Celtics went cold in the final half of the fourth quarter, missing 14 straight shots, unable to close out the series at home, the second loss they suffered in the series on their home court.

Pritchard has averaged 15 points and 4.8 assists off the bench for the Celtics in the first round matchup against the Sixers, the third-highest point average on the team behind Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. Following the loss on Tuesday, Pritchard spoke to the media and said that he is quickly moving past the result, acknowledging the disappointment but is in full preparation mode for Thursday night.

Boston will look to win a seventh straight series against the Sixers on Thursday night, traveling back to Xfinity Mobile Center where they've won the first two matchups on the road. In the Game 5 loss on Tuesday, totaled just 12 points, shooting 5-10 from the field, and struggling from 3-point range, going 1-5 on the night. Pritchard will help to reignite the Celtics' offense on Thursday, as both games in which they've lost, the team has failed to eclipse the 100-point century mark.
