Malik Willis shares 2-word explanation for sailing first pitch
· Yahoo Sports
Malik Willis gives the Miami Dolphins hope after years of circling the drain with the oft-injured, oft-underwhelming Tua Tagovailoa. His arm strength and mobility are gifts Dolphins fans haven't seen at quarterback since perhaps Ryan Tannehill, who still hardly compares to Willis athletically.

Dolphins fans got a peek at Willis' arm before Friday's Miami Marlins game against the Philadelphia Phillies. The former third-round pick threw the ceremonial first pitch, and let's just say he should stick to throwing footballs.
The pitch sailed well above Marlins third baseman Graham Pauley at home plate in a misfire you can only see to believe.

Willis shared an explanation for the errant throw on Instagram. The 26-year-old commented "I slipped" with a teary-eyed emoji, which isn't obvious on video but we'll take his word for it.

It's been quite the NFL journey for Willis. He began his career with the Tennessee Titans and couldn't find his footing, then became one of the league's best backups under Jordan Love in Green Bay. Now, he's reuniting with general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and coach Jeff Hafley in Miami.
Sullivan and Hafley are hoping Willis is their franchise quarterback, and he'll certainly be counted on to throw more accurately than he did at LoanDepot Park on Friday.
