Sharp struck out nine in a one-hitter as Johnsburg/Minerva won, 17-2.

Her battery mate Hannah Sharp had a double to help the cause as J/M finished with eight hits on the night.

Laney Nolette took the loss for Willsboro, but had a double for her team’s only hit.

LAKE PLACID — A trio of Crown Point pitchers came together to treat Lake Placid to a one-hit shutout.

The Panthers pounded out 12 hits to defeat the Bombers, 17-0.

Kaitin Ross, Kaitlin Morse and Corinne Woods combined for the shutout. Ross struck out five in three innings.

Ross was equally effective in the batter’s box having three hits all for extra bases. She hit two doubles and a triple. Addison Hurlburt and Laurel Peters had a double each.

BOLTON — The bats were electric for Bolton in their 31-8 victory over Indian Lake/Long Lake.

Five batters had at least three hits and numerous RBIs. Jadynn Egloff and Riley Huck led the way going 4-for-5 with five RBIs. Danica Staepel finished 5-for-6 with two RBIs.

Egloff and Thea Kennedy worked to scatter eight hits over the five innings played.

Arista Pierson had the lone extra base hit for the Orange; it was a double.

SARANAC — Saranac scored every time they went in its 22-6 victory over Moriah.

The Vikings scored four runs in the top of the first, but the Spartans blew the game open with eight runs in the bottom half.

Elizabeth Recore, Kailynn Neri and McKenzie Hanson had doubles to lead Saranac.

Moriah’s Emmalee Johnson had a double to lead her team.

“Moriah hitters started great, scoring four runs in the first with four hits, including a double and a hit batter,” Spartan coach Sam Campbell said. “Our hitters were able to find the gaps with runners on to get us going.

"Moriah has a young team, but at times, you could see some things to build on.”
