Mamelodi Sundowns moved six points clear at the top of the Betway Premiership after demolishing Siwelele FC at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

Boosted goal differential

Mamelodi Sundowns stretched their lead to six points with just one match remaining. In the process they did their goal differential no harm.

Their final league match will be against TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday, 12 May at 19:30.

Orlando Pirates have three matches still to play in the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season, the next of which will be against bottom side Magesi FC at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday evening.

Kick-off is at 20:00.

Hat-tricks

Mamelodi Sundowns scored goals through Brayan León (3), Tashreeq Matthews (2) and Teboho Mokoena. They were also gifted an own goal by Nyiko Mobbie.

Siwelele FC replied with a hat-trick by Ghampani Lungu and a goal by Relebogile Mokhuoane.

Despite their mauling, Siwelele FC stayed ninth in the standings, but their MTN8 aspirations were dealt a significant blow.
