The Saudi Pro League doesn't exactly rank with the upper echelon of professional soccer leagues, but Al-Nassr did pay Cristiano Ronaldo too much money to come on board in 2023. And yet, the club hasn't won a league title since Ronaldo's arrival.

With a chance to clinch the Saudi Pro League title against second-place Al Hilal, Al-Nassr saw those title hopes possibly slip away on the most embarrassing of own goals.
As the match was nearing the final seconds of stoppage time, Al-Nassr goalkeeper Bento totally botched a long throw. The ball deflected off his hands and straight into the net for an own goal.

The match would end in a 1-1 draw, putting pressure on Al-Nassr to win the title on the final day of the season. And as the teams had left the bench area, Ronaldo stayed put before pouting his way into the dressing room.

That's the look of a player who chose money over playing his final seasons in a competitive league. Bento's blunder summed up Ronaldo's time in Saudi Arabia perfectly.
