As Keyshawn Davis and Nahir Albright get set to fight this weekend, Top Rank continues to promote the fight as an opportunity for vindication for Albright, who previously fought Davis and his brother (the most recent of which led to an ugly post-fight altercation). Keyshawn hasn’t been all too thrilled with that angle of the story line being used to promote this fight, but it’s been inescapable to this point. Here’s some of what both fighters had to say during today’s final press conference.

Albright on how he reflects on the drama with the Davis brothers when they stormed his locker room

“I mean, that night I would say was definitely unfortunate. I just did my thing. I did my thing that night and he came to my room and I ain’t get a chance to really enjoy the night that I worked so hard for. So, it feels good to be able to get that back in the ring.”

Albright on how he’s improved since he last fought Keyshawn

“I’ve improved a lot. I got stronger, faster, my IQ improved, everything. It’s going to show Saturday night.”

Keyshawn on his 2023 fight with Albright

“It’s 2026, so that really doesn’t even really matter. I got a win over him and they decided to take it back. So, again, I’m going to knock him out in 2026.”

Keyshawn on the title of the fight being ‘Unfinished Business’ and whether it’s fitting

“Nah, I feel like this is just the boxing game. We’re here to sign contracts and fight and that’s exactly what we did. It’s not personal, it’s not unfinished business. I’m going to knock [Albright] out.”
