High school superstar Cayden Daughtry offered by Kentucky

Following the first major weekend of summer AAU basketball, Kentucky Basketball has sent out a flurry of scholarship offers, the latest being to Cayden Daughtry.

On Monday, the 4-star point guard announced his offer from Kentucky. He’s also scored offers from Michigan, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, USC, Georgia, Miami, Villanova, BYU, Iowa, and Ohio State, among others.

A 6-foot, 160-pound product of Calvary Christian Academy in Florida, Daughtry is ranked 17th overall and fourth among point guards in the class of 2027 by 247 Sports. Conversely, Rivals has him ranked 21st overall and seventh among point guards.

This past season, Daughtry led Calvary Christian to its second consecutive Class 3A state championship while averaging 26.5 points, 5.2 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game. He shot 54.5% from the field and 36.8% on 3s.

For his efforts, Daughtry was named MaxPreps National Junior of the Year. It’s a coveted honor that’s been earned by names like Jayson Tatum, Cameron Boozer, Jalen Green, R.J. Barrett, and Andrew Wiggins.
