According to reports from Miguel Serrano, as relayed by Defensa Central, Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot is being seriously considered by Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window.
It is known that the Spanish giants will strengthen the right-back position after Carvajal’s departure following the end of the season.
The veteran defender is preparing to say goodbye to the Santiago Bernabeu this weekend, bringing an important era at the club closer to its conclusion.
Although Real Madrid have not yet finalised their preferred target, Dalot is reportedly one of the names strongly appreciated internally.

The situation becomes even more interesting because of Jose Mourinho, as the incoming Real Madrid coach highly values the Manchester United defender and could personally request the signing.
Discussing the situation, Miguel Serrano explained: “Dalot is highly regarded by Jose Mourinho, and he could be one of the players he requests from Real Madrid.”
The connection between Dalot and Mourinho already exists from their time together at Manchester United, where the Portuguese defender developed under the experienced coach.
That relationship could become important if Madrid decide to accelerate negotiations.
Notably, Dalot is represented by Jorge Mendes, who also manages Mourinho and has rebuilt strong relations with Real Madrid in recent years.

That connection could make negotiations significantly smoother if the Spanish club formally enters the race for the Portuguese international.
Ideal Real Madrid signing?
From a sporting perspective, Dalot fits many of the characteristics Mourinho wants in his squad.
At 27 years old is capable of contributing both defensively and offensively while also offering versatility by playing on either flank.
While Dalot is not viewed as a flashy superstar, he is rather established as a reliable and consistent defender capable of adapting to different tactical demands.
After a difficult season, Real Madrid expected to focus heavily on rebuilding their backline and Mourinho wants a new right-back and at least two centre-backs as part of his defensive restructuring plans.
