Ford won't compete in NASCAR O'Reilly Series race at Charlotte in 2026

· Yahoo Sports

Ford will not be competing in the NASCAR O'Reilly Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. On Monday evening, NASCAR released the O'Reilly Series entry list for Charlotte, and it didn't include a Ford driver. Last week, Logan Bearden drove the No. 38 car for RSS Racing, and it was listed as a Ford.

As of now, Ford has zero cars competing in the O'Reilly Series. AM Racing started the 2026 NASCAR season with Nick Sanchez as its full-time driver, but it didn't last long before it ceased operations. Meanwhile, Hettinger Racing was full-time with part-time drivers before they stopped showing up to the track.

It is unclear if Hettinger Racing will return to the O'Reilly Series, and the No. 38 car's week-to-week status is uncertain. Therefore, there is no way of telling when Ford will return to the O'Reilly Series during the 2026 NASCAR season. Hopefully, Ford can return to the NASCAR level with Chevrolet and Toyota soon.
