Athlete of the Week is back for the 2026 spring season!
Each week, athletes from Gaylord, St. Mary and Johannesburg-Lewiston will be nominated, and its up to you to vote for which player had the best performance for the past week. Voting will conclude early Friday morning every week.

Finn Miller, Gaylord baseball
Miller hit three home runs in three consecutive doubleheaders this week, including a solo shot vs. Gaylord's rival, Petoskey, on May 21.
Zayden Mullins, Gaylord baseball
Mullins went 4-6 with a double, a triple and four RBIs in a sweep of Cadillac.
Lily Lauer, Gaylord softball
In a win over TC West, Lauer was 3-for-4 with a home run, eight RBIs and a run scored.
Khloe VanOosten, Gaylord soccer
VanOosten scored two goals in a 4-0 win over Petoskey that clinched a share of Gaylord's first Big North Championship since 2002.
Charlie Cameron, St. Mary baseball
Cameron hit 9-for-11 (.818) with a double, six runs scored and five RBIs, helping St. Mary baseball to four wins this past week.
Peyton Greenier, St. Mary softball
Greenier went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and four RBIs in an 11-9 win over Mancelona.
Mady Peppin, JoBurg softball
Peppin hit 5-for-11 (.455) with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored for JoBurg this week.
Peyton Basinski, JoBurg baseball
Peyton Basinski was 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored vs. Bellaire.
Tanner Basinski, JoBurg baseball
The elder Basinski went 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored vs. Bellaire.
Danielle Agren, JoBurg track and field
Agren won the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs at the Ski Valley Conference Championship meet at Mancelona on May 20.
