Scrum-half Simpson among eight leaving Saracens

Scrum-half Gareth Simpson, fly-half Louie Johnson and centre Sam Spink are all to leave Saracens at the end of the season, with their contracts expiring.

Simpson, 28, made 48 appearances for Sarries, including six this season in the Prem Rugby Cup and three off the bench in the Prem and the Champions Cup.
Johnson, 22, played 13 times after his move from Newcastle in 2024, with seven in the Prem Rugby Cup this term.
Spink, 26, made three appearances in the Prem Rugby Cup this season and one in the Champions Cup.
Academy players Barney Merrett, Matt Branch-Holland, Charlie Barker, Lewis Young and Ryan Jones have also been released at the end of their contracts.
Moves for Tom Willis (Bordeaux), Alex Lozowski (Sale Sharks), Brandon Jackson and Samson Adejimi (Newcastle Red Bulls), Harry Wilson (Exeter Chiefs), Marco Riccioni (Perpignan), Ivan van Zyl (Sharks) and Theo McFarland (released) have already been confirmed.
