This is the player the Connecticut Sun hoped they were getting when they drafted Aneesah Morrow with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
Now in year two, she's leading the WNBA in double-doubles and showing off a dominant frontcourt presence as she rises toward stardom.
The former LSU star is just 6-foot-1, but she's always been a dominant force on the glass.
So far this season, Morrow has six double-doubles through nine games.

Overall, she's averaging 11.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.
Morrow will have to improve her efficiency still -- she's at 41.0% from the floor, 28.1% from 3-point range and 57.1% from the foul line.
But she has a clear ability to win on the glass, and the 23-year old from Chicago is doing just that.
These are her point rebound totals so far, from game one onward:
- 15 points, 6 rebounds
- 17 points, 16 rebounds
- 16 points, 11 rebounds
- 10 points, 10 rebounds
- 12 points, 12 rebounds
- 2 points, 3 rebounds
- 7 points, 6 rebounds
- 11 points, 10 rebounds
- 13 points, 13 rebounds
Those two games in the middle with limited production were Morrow's lowest minutes of the season by far. When the Sun give her a full slate of action, she usually delivers.
Connecticut's franchise is in a tough spot, soon to be on the move and struggling on the court. But if Morrow can keep improving, she has the potential to be a key piece of what they do going forward.
