Five players to leave Newcastle United Women

Shania Hayles departs having made 44 appearances in all competitions, scoring 20 goals, following her move from Bristol City in the summer of 2024.

Most notably, the striker scored the winning goal against Sunderland at St. James' Park last season in front of a league record attendance of 38,502. She also finished that campaign as the club's top scorer with 15 goals to her name.

Also moving on is 2024/25 Supporters' Player of the Season Deanna Cooper. The defender registered 43 appearances across two seasons in the North East, scoring five goals, including the opener against Sunderland in November.

Claudia Moan leaves having re-joined the club from Sunderland in July 2024, making a total of 28 appearances across the last two seasons with the Magpies.

Also departing will be fellow goalkeeper Hannah Hawkins, who was part of the title-winning side from the 2023/24 season, having joined in the January from Durham.

Simone Charley departs at the end of her short-term contract after joining in January, while Femke Liefting and Jorja Fox both return to Chelsea following their loan spells.

As previously confirmed, Charlotte Potts and Molly Pike both announced their retirement from football at the end of the season.
