Weymouth High's Liam Barr has been voted the South Shore High School Male Athlete of the Week.

Barr received more than 6,500 votes to earn the honor. The right-handed pitcher set a new single-game program record (for 7 innings) with 17 strikeouts in pitching the Wildcats to a 2-0 win over Norwell in the regular-season finale. In 2003, Chris McDonough had 20 strikeouts vs. Newton North in a 9-inning game.

Nicholas Askjaer, Cohasset boys track & field
Askjaer won Division 6 state titles in both the shot put (61 feet 1.75 inches) and discus (182-04) at Westfield State University.
John Barren, North Quincy baseball
Barren hit the deciding 2-run double in the sixth inning as the 35th-seeded Raiders pulled off a stunning upset by beating No. 3 Springfield Central, 5-4, in the Div. 1 Round of 32. It was the Raiders' first tournament win since 2023. Barren also had an RBI double in a 3-0 win over Bridgewater-Raynham in the preliminary round.
Adam Bushley, BC High baseball
Bushley pitched 5 scoreless innings and only surrendered 2 hits in an 8-2 win over Methuen in the Div. 1 Round of 32.
Finn Cronin, Silver Lake boys lacrosse
Cronin and teammate Cole Miller each scored 5 goals to power the Lakers to a 16-12 win over Plymouth North in the Div. 2 Round of 32.
Teddy Dunn, Milton baseball
Dunn hit a walk-off grand slam to beat No. 29 Marblehead, 6-3, in the Div. 2 Round of 32. He also doubled as part of a 2-for-3 day for the fourth-seeded Wildcats.
Trevor Falk, Pembroke boys lacrosse
Falk had a hat trick in a 7-2 victory over Nashoba Regional in the Div. 3 Round of 32. It was just the Titans' second-ever playoff win.
Kevin Leonard, Pembroke boys track & field
Leonard won the Div. 4 state title in the 110-meter hurdles (14.79 seconds) and ran on the second-place 4x100m relay team (:43.82) at Bridgewater State University.
Ian McNeil, Duxbury boys track & field
McNeil won Div. 4 state titles in both the 100 meters (10.79 seconds) and the 200m (:21.98) at Bridgewater State University.
Jonah Stephens Roye, Milton boys track & field
Stephens Roye won Div. 3 state titles in both the 110-meter hurdles (14.81 seconds) and the 400m hurdles (:54.36) at Merrimack College, helping the Wildcats tie for fifth in team scoring.
