Portnoy went on a lengthy rant during the show, criticizing Georgia baseball for denying the request to speak to catcher Dan Jackson, whose home run Sunday lifted the Bulldogs to a Super Regional win over Mississippi State.
"Georgia denies the request and says no, we don't want to talk college baseball on the show?" Portnoy began. "What in the world is wrong with the Georgia Bulldogs athletic program?"
The saga had a few twists and turns along the way. Here's what was said.
Barstool's Dave Portnoy slams Georgia baseball
Portnoy wanted Jackson on the show to discuss Georgia's thrilling two-game sweep over Mississippi State, in which 21 homers were hit between the teams in 13-12 and 11-9 Bulldogs wins.
He also wanted to needle 'Wake Up Barstool' co-host Brandon Walker, a fan of Mississippi State.
Portnoy continued: "This is baseball. This kid's the Golden Spikes winner. You have an unbelievable comeback. You're too good for Wake Up Barstool?" Port "Who does Georgia think they are? Screw Georgia. The Georgia Bulldogs are dead to me."

Portnoy claims he and Barstool received a 'flat no' from Georgia for the interview.
"I will never root for Georgia. I will never side with Georgia," Portnoy said. "I will root against Georgia in every sport that I can for the rest of my life."
Dave Portnoy continued bashing UGA
"Anybody that graduated from Georgia is dead to me," Portnoy continued, including bashing David Andrews, a Super Bowl winning center for the Patriots, Portnoy's favorite team.

"Anybody that went to Georgia, I have no respect to you on a human level," Portnoy said. "I hope they're two and a barbecue in Omaha. I might go to Omaha to root against them."
Georgia catcher Daniel Jackson responds to Barstool Sports
Portnoy sent a private message to Daniel Jackson informing him that Barstool Sports wanted him on their show.
Portnoy's response made it appear that Jackson did not know about the opportunity.

"I just said congratulations," Portnoy claims, " And he responded, 'damn, that would be sick.' He wanted to be on the show. So I'm going to give him a pass."
Georgia baseball's Dan Jackson
Jackson is a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award given to the nation's best player. It will be presented on June 29 on the MLB Network.
So far this season, Jackson, a catcher, has hit .396 with 31 homers, 86 RBI and 26 stolen bases in 28 attempts.
Who will Georgia baseball play in the College World Series?
The Bulldogs will face Texas after the Longhorns defeated Oregon Sunday night.
The dates and time for the game will be announced after 7 p.m. Monday, Georgia said. The College World Series starts on Friday.
