Towns has averaged 19.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists through the first two games. He’s also the favorite to win the Finals MVP of the series. He has performed well, despite facing the 2026 Defensive Player of the Year.
Ahead of Game 3, Karl-Anthony Towns was asked by Agent, a Twitch streamer, about his thoughts on going up against Wembanyama. The Knicks star gave the Frenchman the ultimate praise about what it’s like playing against him in the Finals.
“It’s great when you go against a great player. A player that I’ve spoken about countless times that’s going to be a generational player,” Towns said. “Something we’ve never seen in the NBA before. To be able to go and play in this moment against the best, is all you can ask for.
