Like over the last three seasons, the Milwaukee Brewers are leading the way in the National League Central. They hold a 41-25 record, holding a four-game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals

However, they surely have a test over the weekend in their series against the Philadelphia Phillies, who have gotten back on track after a rocky start. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games, so the Brew crew will have to be at their best.

But while the team focuses on their upcoming series, the front office is getting prepared for the draft. They have been given the No. 25 pick.

There's no denying that the Brewrrs will miss out on some of the premium talent with their late pick, but there will still be elite talent to be drafted.

The Athletic's Keith Law recently came out with his latest mock draft, and in it, he has the Brewers going after Georgia catcher/outfielder Daniel Jackson.

"Jackson went 0 for 4 on May 1, and hasn't gone hitless in a game since – right through the Super Regional. The big finish has probably pushed him into the first round, and the Brewers have gone for similar hitters the last two years in Blake Burke and Andrew Fischer."

Jackson has been on a heater to end his college season. He's extremely strong and hits the ball extremely hard from the right side of the plate with a selective approach.

He's more athletic than most catchers, but is still a work in progress behind the dish. If he can polish up behind the plate and continue to work on building up his raw arm strength, he could be quite the steal in the later part of the first round in this draft class.
