Tennessee softball infielder to transfer after 2026 season

Tennessee redshirt sophomore infielder Ella Dodge announced her intention to transfer on Saturday following the 2026 softball season.
"I am thankful for my time at Tennessee, but after much thought and prayer, I have decided to enter the transfer portal with 2 years of eligibility," she announced.

The 5-foot-8 infielder appeared in 120 games, including 113 starts, for the Lady Vols from 2024-26. She recorded a .262 batting average, 82 hits, 18 home runs, 20 doubles, three triples, 61 RBIs, 82 runs, 50 walks and 13 stolen bases. Dodge's longest hit streak was five games at Tennessee.
She also had a .967 fielding percentage and 10 errors.
Dodge went to Tennessee from Lakewood Ranch High School in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. She won two Florida 7A state titles from 2021-22. Dodge was also named the 2022 FACA High School Player of the Year.
