After changing weight classes from bantamweight, Oliveira (23-4 MMA, 4-2 UFC) got off to a tough start against Fili (25-14 MMA, 13-13 UFC) at Meta APEX in Las Vegas. In the second round, however, the Brazilian turned it around and slowed his opponent down with body shots before a blitzing flurry combination of blows to force the TKO stoppage at the 4:56 mark of Round 2.

Oliveira had some hype after a hot start at 135 pounds, but it was thwarted by Mario Bautista in his first main event with the promotion. That prompted the shift in division, and now Oliveira is ready to produce on his full potential and make his mark.

"I'm feeling better in this division," Oliveira told Daniel Cormier in his post-fight interview. "I had to lose too much to fight. All my fights in UFC, I felt tired and weak. Now I can show the world how good I am. Now I just wait for the next opponent."
