The Guardians lost because their offense is missing 3 of their best hitters again, and I don’t know if that is going to change any time soon.

Yes, the Guardians could find a way to get Cooper Ingle and/or Kody Huff on the roster. I think there are statistical reasons to believe in both players more than Stuart Fairchild and Kahlil Watson. But, both Watson and Fairchild were hitting well in Triple-A and look absolutely overmatched in the bigs. …so, yeah.

Having Gabriel Arias hitting cleanup and Daniel Schneemann fifth really tells you all you need to know about this lineup. I truly cannot believe I have to suffer through more Arias at-bats. And, of course, we all wanted to see more David Fry who has been a decent hitter… then Fry proceeded to have two HORRENDOUS at-bats yesterday.

Having three players break bones in one game is tremendously bad luck. Not being able to help veterans get out of slumps or young players transfer skills is still an indictment of the hitting coaches.

Now, on to Chicago to play the White Sox for three.
