The season is zooming by. This week features the eighth and final signature event on the PGA Tour's 2026 calendar. There have been 25 tournaments already played and there's just nine more, including this week's Travelers Championship, till the FedEx Cup Playoffs begin.

The Travelers long ago found its sweet spot on the schedule, hot on the feels of the U.S. Open every year.

What's the prize money at the 2026 Travelers Championship?

This being a signature event, there is a $20 million prize fund and a $3.6 million first-place check to be deposited in the winner's bank account.

Is there a cut at the Travelers Championship?

No there is not. The Travelers is one of five signature events that does not feature a 36-hole cut. Everyone in the field plays all 72 holes and everyone gets paid. There are eight signature events in all but only the three "player-hosted" ones (Genesis, Arnold Palmer, Memorial) have a 36-hole cut.

Who's in the field for the 2026 Travelers?

First, you should know who isn't: Rory McIlroy. This will be the third signature event he has missed in 2026. He's the only one in the OWGR's top 50 who won't play. So that means No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, No. 3 Cameron Young, No. 4 Matt Fitzpatrick, No. 5 Russell Henley and U.S. Open Wyndham Clark, who said “it’s not great to be disliked" but he does not sound consumed by it.
