The Boston Celtics have a tough decision to make over Jaylen Brown
· Yahoo Sports
The Boston Celtics are reportedly shopping Jaylen Brown around the league. The All-Star forward was reportedly floated in a trade offer for Giannis Antetokounmpo, and is now expected to be available at the right price. The problem is, Boston's failed trade may have hurt Brown's value around the NBA, as teams will now believe there's a crack in the relationship.
Brad Stevens is highly unlikely to entertain any trade offer that doesn't provide fair value for the Celtics. After all, Brown has three years remaining on his current $285.3 million supermax contract, and is eligible for a two-year $141.9 million extension. Boston is under no immediate pressure to pursue a deal, unless Brown explicitly hands in a trade request.

With so much reporting floating around regarding Brown's situation in Boston, it's hard to get a read on how things are unfolding. The murkiness of the entire situation was a recent talking point on WEEI's "The Greg Hill Show," where the hosts questioned what lies ahead for both Brown and the Celtics, and questioned whether keeping him around, at least for the coming season, is the right course of action.
