The Tennessee Titans unveiled new-look uniforms for 2026. No more sword-like flaming 'T' or blue-on-blue design. Instead, the new uniforms pay homage to the Titans' roots as the Houston Oilers. The new logo and colors are streamlined to match that era, but also modernized for a clean, updated look.

Every year, each NFL team makes tweaks to the uniforms it will wear in the upcoming season. A recent article by Sports Illustrated ranks all of the uniform combinations that will be worn in 2026, and the Titans came in at 19.

The Titans unveiled new uniforms and a new logo earlier this year, both of which include details that “represent the franchise’s history, and its home in Nashville.” Their home jerseys are described as “Luv Ya Blue”—an ode to the organization’s days as the Oilers—and are paired with white pants, while their road uniform is the inverse. While these are undoubtedly clean, they also effectively eliminate their ability to wear throwbacks, leaving them without a ton of other options.

The Titans have just two uniforms they will wear this season, while most teams rotate through 3-4 styles. Why the author believes this eliminates the ability to wear throwbacks is confusing, though. With the color alignment matching up, it won't look like a traditional throwback, but they can still alter their helmets to make it so.

Still, the Titans aren't doing that this year; they'll have their home and away versions of their uniform, and that's it. But it won't be surprising when they come up with new alternatives to use going forward.
