Bank of India Organises Hindi Workshop

A Hindi workshop was organized on June 19, 2026, in the conference hall of the Mumbai South Zonal Office. Twenty-eight participants from various branches of Bank of India attended the workshop. It was inaugurated by the Zonal Manager, Madhukar, and the Deputy Zonal Manager, Rajesh Lamba. Addressing the participants, the Zonal Manager noted that the zone falls under 'Region B' (Region 'Kh'); therefore, all official work should be conducted in Hindi to achieve the targets set in the annual program issued by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs. During the workshop, Nitin Jain (Senior Manager – Official Language, NABARD) held detailed discussions on the Official Language Policy, quarterly progress reports, banking administrative and operational terminology (RBI), official correspondence, internal operations, incentive schemes, and Unicode.
On this occasion, the inaugural issue of the zone's quarterly magazine, *Shashwat*, was released. Additionally, certificates and prizes were distributed to the winners of the zonal-level essay writing competition held during the June quarter, in accordance with instructions from the Head Office.
