When Tennessee will be revealing new Adidas uniforms
· Yahoo Sports
Welcome to July, the first day of Tennessee’s new ten-year long partnership with Adidas. The Volunteers announced a move from Nike last year, moving back to Adidas, who they were with before. The deal was announced as a unique partnership rooted in NIL, with Adidas promising to make Tennessee a priority brand moving forward.

It’s now time for the big reveal, with plenty of Tennessee fans still scarred from some of the atrocities that Adidas produced for the Vols back in the early 2010s. The creative team for the University holds all the cards this time around though, and by all accounts, this has been a tireless effort to keep Tennessee looking like Tennessee. Perhaps even more so than the last decade with Nike.
This shouldn’t be a difficult process — get the orange right, standard block font — most everyone would be happy. Maybe the only debate left is whether or not to outline the orange numbers in black on the white jerseys.
Adidas will continue dark mode and smokey grey looks, where they may have more of an ability to get creative. But again, Tennessee’s creative team has the final say.
When will Tennessee reveal the new Adidas uniforms?
Despite the partnership starting today, you won’t be seeing them on your socials in the next few hours. Tennessee will wait until July 6th to begin their slow rollout, according to Adam Sparks. Orange will come on July 6th, white on July 7th, Summitt blue uniforms for some women’s sports on July 8th and dark mode on July 9th.
Multiple sports will be revealed on each day of the rollout.
Penn State, which inked a similar partnership with Adidas and has a similar traditional look, revealed their uniforms today. It was a classic, clean look that kept with tradition.
An X account that has been accurate so far with leaked a potential first look at Tennessee’s jerseys, complete with a new, modern block font that took us back to the ’90s. Those photos were the retail version, and it’s not been confirmed if they’re real at this point.
We’ll all find out together on July 6th.
