Red Bull Turmoil Around Max Verstappen Becoming Harder to Ignore
· Yahoo Sports
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is at the center of continued speculation over his future, and a fresh batch of rumors has him leaving his only F1 team for a fresh start.
Verstappen has not been the happiest camper at Red Bull for a while now — largely, his concerns are about how raceable the current regulations are.

He has called on the FIA to change the regulations so that the cars can deploy more power and require less energy management.
However, Red Bull as a team has not given Verstappen a car he can compete with, leaving him unhappy with a car that is essentially the third- or fourth-fastest.

This came after the British Grand Prix, where Verstappen left with no points after failing to finish.
He is sitting in seventh place, above his teammate Isack Hadjar, but six points down on Oscar Piastri, 21 points down on Lando Norris, and more than 30 points behind Charles Leclerc.
While the result hurt, Verstappen made it clear that he was not happy to drop from his seventh-place qualifying spot at the British GP, but he would rather have taken a new power unit and drastically tweaked the setup, starting from the pit lane.
“It’s just painful, frustrating,” Verstappen said. “You’re trying everything you can. The whole weekend, I’m not happy with the car balance; I’m down on top speed on my side of the garage. Same again today in the race.
“If it was up to me, I would have started from the pit lane, but at the moment I’m honestly just looking forward to go home and not think about F1.”

While just one instance of disagreement between the team and Verstappen, these differences will be put under the microscope throughout the summer break, when his decision will be the biggest talking point.
