At UFC 329, Pinas (10-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) patiently waited for his moment before he drilled Cesar Almeida (7-3 MMA, 3-3 UFC) with a finishing right hand just 4:44 into Round 1 of their middleweight prelim bout Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Pinas, 24, was born in Suriname but trains with legendary coach Andre Pederneiras at Nova Uniao in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His UFC debut was similar to Saturday's bout, where he knocked out Wesley Schultz in 150 seconds.

After the fight, Pinas called for a bout vs. fellow hot prospect Baisangur Susurkaev (12-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC).
Almeida, 38, has lost back-to-back fights after two consecutive wins.
