The Real Madrid winger produced a series of eye-catching displays for the Selecao, and now that his international commitments are over, attention turns to his future at the Bernabeu.
On that front, there appears to be little cause for concern.

According to MARCA, there is a sense of total calm at Real Madrid regarding Vinicius’ situation, with the club seeing no issue whatsoever surrounding the Brazilian’s future.
Real Madrid intend to offer the left winger a contract extension shortly and are fully confident that a mutually satisfactory agreement will be reached.
In short, the club fully expect Vinicius to remain a Real Madrid player for the foreseeable future.
Los Blancos have deliberately stayed out of the back-and-forth speculation surrounding the matter, choosing instead to remain patient.
They are setting no deadlines beyond those mandated by law, which stipulate a three-week break for players following their World Cup participation. With Brazil eliminated, Vinicius is expected to return to Madrid by the end of the month.

It is upon his return that the long-awaited and presumably decisive formal contact between the two parties is expected to take place, built on a clear mutual intention to extend their relationship.
History is also on Real Madrid’s side. Since Florentino Perez became president in 2000, he has managed to finalise every contract extension he genuinely wanted, and there is a firm belief that this case will prove no different.
The desire also comes from the player himself, who has consistently expressed his wish to continue at the club. The last time he addressed the subject was in mid-June, ahead of the World Cup.
“I’ll talk about everything related to Madrid after the World Cup,” Vinicius said at the time, his focus then firmly on leading Brazil in their pursuit of the title.
