So when the whistle blew at the end of the next possession, the Indiana Fever star lost it.

She rushed straight toward the official who could've called the foul and screamed right in her face.

On a national broadcast, in front of a packed Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana, Clark did everything in her power to get her point across.

It was a moment that seemed destined for a technical foul.

Instead, the official showed off immense patience and restraint. She simply let Clark get it all out:

It was certainly a frustrating night for Clark all around. She never found a rhythm as another rough shooting night for her contributed to the Fever's loss to the Golden State Valkyries.

Clark is known for her reactions to calls and non-calls. She doesn't exactly hide her emotions.

She also is a fan of complaining, to be sure -- even her biggest fans would admit that.

Some players end up having more of a leash with refs than others. Their star power matters for that. So too does the frequency of their behavior -- the predictability of Clark's outburst here might've actually saved her a tech.

Either way, it was pretty astounding to see happen over the TV broadcast as it happened. Clark went ballistic, and the ref just stood and took it.
